Whether you intend to renovate or build from the ground up, this is how a typical EcoBuild project progresses:
Step 1: In the introductory meeting, you will meet our lead architect and construction manager at your home or place of business. As a team, we will tour your property, listen to your ideas, collect data, and ask questions with an emphasis on establishing two of our most important tools: a Project Budget and a Project Mission.

Will you need additional plumbing or electrical fixtures?

Are your fixtures or finishes meeting or exceeding the level of those you currently have?

Are the improvements to be strictly functional, aesthetic, or both?

Would you like to incorporate green products and technologies?

Are the improvements for resale value or long-term living?
At the conclusion of this meeting we will provide a Pre-Construction Agreement for your review and acceptance. This document releases EcoBuild to proceed only with conceptual design services and the preparation of the Preliminary Project Budget. A small fee is associated with this agreement; however, if you choose to hire EcoBuild for the entire construction package the fee is waived.
Step 2: At our second meeting, you will receive a detailed proposal for the project that lists the services you will receive and when you can expect them. It will contain the detailed Project Budget, Schematic Design Documents, Fixture selection material, Project Schedule, and Project Mission. Upon acceptance of this proposal, the formal design of your project can begin!
Step 3: You will now receive a set of “95% Construction Drawings.” Together we will iron out the last 5% of the details and conclude the meeting with a package of documents ready to be submitted for permitting.
Step 4: Upon receipt of a Notice to Proceed from the applicable permitting authority, we will begin construction. We understand that remodeling projects are difficult on your daily activities, and we will take the utmost care in preserving a clean, livable environment throughout the rest of your home or place of business.
Step 5: At the conclusion of the project, we will carefully walk and inspect all of the work with you to ensure your satisfaction. All affected areas of your home or business will be cleaned so that you can enjoy your new space!
